Up and out by 615am to pick up my friends and head to the airport. We were non stop chatting in the car and the excitement was all up in the air!
We have been planning this trip since Aug 2022, but it was first brought up in March 2022. Mind you, I met Mary in Jan 2022 and Christine in Feb 2022. It was an instant friendship and bond over hiking.
So fast forward a year and a half later and here we are, in Canada, to celebrate Christine’s 50th birthday (later this year).
We grabbed a nice coffee and breakfast at the United Club Lounge and then boarded our plane, but not before filming a few shots for TikTok. LOL!! First class was also a nice added bump up to todays travel. Thank you Christine!!
Our first stop was to our beautiful AirBNB in Canmore, and then off to grab some bear spray for tomorrows hike. It is highly recommended around here. We then found food at Tavern 1883 and enjoyed poutine for the first time, a Canadian favorite, so we’ve heard. It was delicious!
We grabbed some groceries and then headed back to the house to prepare some quick breakfast burritos to grab and go for tomorrow and some PB&J apple and banana sandwiches.
It’s now 12:45am, and my alarm is set for 5:30am, so I better take myself to bed. Nighty night from the Canadian Rockies!
